Can't do the whole liveblog thing tonight, but I'm sure I will have a ton of thoughts to put up about the game tonight. Feel free to contribute as well.
There was a little talk about if we couldn't land a major free agent, just having CJ play more 2 alongside Derrick. He's certainly making the case for himself here.
Paul George should make it a point to be around the offensive glass all the time. It's going to be really hard for most 2-guards to keep him off of it.
I'm not going to lie, this Pacers team scares me a lot this year. I feel like they improved a lot, and were already an up-and-coming team last season.
ReplyDeleteIs Hansbrough going to start over David West all year? Or is West not playing tonight?
ReplyDeleteThank you Neil Funk. (West not playing tonight)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe Paul George grew two inches over the year. He's going to be scary, too.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing that give and go with Taj and Noah.
ReplyDeleteTaj is already making a difference on the defensive end. I'm not going to get my blood pressure up about this already, but...
ReplyDeleteThe Bulls look like this is their first preseason games, what with the dropped balls and silly fouls. The Pacers do not.

ReplyDeleteIt's the preseason for the refs, too.
ReplyDeleteHansbrough is looking really good.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Jimmy Butler meant to use the backboard there.
ReplyDeleteWe should not be giving up 33 to the Pacers in a quarter.
ReplyDeleteBench Mob!!!
ReplyDeleteCould Jimmy butler be James Johnson with a jump shot? I hope so.
ReplyDeleteJJ wouldn't have gone to the hole there, though
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I like Derrick drawing charges, preseason or otherwise.
ReplyDeleteI haven't looked at the stats, but I would bet either Taj or Butler have the best +/- in this game.
ReplyDeleteI win! Taj +16, Derrick, Fredo, Butler are all +11
ReplyDeleteThe "Has not entered game" next to Keith Bogans' name in the box score makes me sad.
ReplyDeleteRoy Hibbert is quickly giving back the goodwill he earned by being on Parks and Recreation.

ReplyDeleteI know a lot was made of this last year, but it bears repeating this year: the Bench Mob is soooooo good defensively, it's not even funny.
ReplyDeleteTaj is +22, Butler and Fredo are +20.
ReplyDeleteJoakim and Taj are both finishing with their lefts well tonight.
ReplyDeleteTaj has been so much better than Boozer tonight it's not funny. I hope TT is paying attention.
ReplyDeleteLet's see if we can ice games as well as we did last year.
