I Need 5 TVs Open Thread

Bulls! Hawks! March Madness! Community! Parks and Rec! Oh, and it's about 70 degrees outside.

  1. Joakim with the green shoes today! I like it.

  2. Trap game maybe? We're competing for the #1 seed fellas. Put them down early. I'm aware the Nets have been much better since the D-Will trade, but they're still not in your league.

  3. Going to go out on a limb and say Bogans doesn't play 29 minutes tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Turkish D before Taj? Taj must be in the doghouse or something.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Fully expecting TBN to change the energy level here.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Turkish is going to be huge tonight. Nets were getting every rebound before he came in.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Kinda like a bizzaro version of the 2nd quarter last night, I can't believe we're winning right now. Seems like we're way outplaying them.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Worried about our ability to to keep this rebounding up with Turkish out. TBN is dropping dimes, though.

On another note, BYU, final 4 team of mine, WTF are doing right now? Do not lose to Wofford, please.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Very nice offensive and defensive possessions from the 2nd unit. The Turkish Delight really is our Asikret Weapon.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Sometimes TBN makes fast break finishes harder than necessary.

    ReplyDelete
  11. You cannot let D.Rose do that. Don't you know this kid's from Chicago!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Not sure about that call, Stace. "Let me scratch my back?"

    ReplyDelete
  13. Meanwhile, on my computer, BYU is jacking up dumb shot after dumb shot. Not OK with my bracket getting busted on day 1.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Oh please lose, I have the Zags in the elite 8 for old times sake

    ReplyDelete
  15. I love that there are constant Game of Thrones commercials on the MM online broadcasts. Only a month away!

    ReplyDelete
  16. @bj
I am done picking the Zags to go anywhere. They screw me over every year. Them and Pitt. No more. I have Zaga gone in the 1st round, Pitt in the 2nd to Butler.

  17. I also have the nets announcers, which usually would make me angry, but its Fratello and some other guy. And that was a hilariously bad attempt to draw a foul D-Will.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Did Deron learn that trick from Sasha? That was Sasha-esque move (trying to jump backwards into Derrick while shooting a 3 to draw a foul)

    ReplyDelete
  19. D.Will, that aired 3 shot is about as foolish as you wearing a headband. C'mon, fellow Alum...

    ReplyDelete
  20. I think it's possible that without Brandon Davies, no one on BYU is capable of dunking. What the hell was I thinking?

    ReplyDelete
  21. @tris
I get it. I always pick them and it always sucks. But I cannot give it up. And good call on Butler, I have them and George Mason winning, I figure one will actually get it done and the other 1 seed wont get much further so it'll balance out.

  22. Now the halftime dilemma: Watch a college game, or start Community?

    ReplyDelete
  23. No time for Community, and Florida is blowing someone out, so I'm watching Kenny and Chuck on CBS instead.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Derrick isn't getting enough credit for how much he's improved his D over the course of the season. He has gotten the better of D-Will on both ends of the court every time they've played.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Wonder where Turkish is nowadays on the rebounds per 48 minutes stat? He was in the top 5 a little while ago. There's too much going on for me to look it up right now, though.

    ReplyDelete
  26. What is Asik's ceiling? Is he already better than Varejao? Can he be better than Noah? Divac? Other random kinda athletic but a little awkward 7' guys?

    ReplyDelete
  27. I would be happy with Aryvidas Sabonis. He'd have to develop an outside jump shot, though.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Baseline Ninja moves work on the defensive end, too.

    ReplyDelete
  29. "He cocked that back all the way from Istanbul, baby!"- Stacey King

    ReplyDelete
  30. I want to hold them under 70 please.

    ReplyDelete
  31. The Bulls have held the Nets to 50 points through 3 quarters. That's why I have so much confidence going into the playoffs. Our D is sick.

    ReplyDelete
  32. And consistent. Bulls have won each quarter by 3-4 points. Speaks a lot on a night they're not shooting so hot.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I need either the Bulls or the BYU game to get not close, or much slower. Both are on pace to end at the same time.

    ReplyDelete
  34. The nets announcer's are hilariously confident. Fratello seems to think that Outlaw is one of the best players in the NBA. Bulls have this in the bag.

    ReplyDelete
  35. The Bulls are shooting terribly tonight. It would be huge to win when they can barely get the ball near the rim.

    ReplyDelete
  36. It is NOT acceptable to allow 2nd chance points to Sasha. Box him out, Korver

    ReplyDelete
  37. Joakim with some surprisingly bad help D on that one.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Don't worry Tris. Bad Basketball and they'll still pull this out.

    ReplyDelete
  39. The Korver curl play doesn't work when Kurt is the big man rolling to the basket. Taj or Turkish should be in there.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Wofford is the New Jersey Nets of the NCAA tournament.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hopefully Asik is coming in. Or will TT wait for KT to foul out?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Waiting for KT to foul out. For a second there I thought they called an illegal screen on Big Sexy and was happy about it.

    ReplyDelete
  43. oh that was an illegal screen by KT, but I'll take it.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Even though that worked out, I didn't like Jo leaving him wide open like that.

    ReplyDelete
  45. So glad Stacey is covering the Bulls

"Keeping it alive for the duece"
    -Nets Announcer

    ReplyDelete
  46. "Give me some hot sauce on Saint Paddy's Day!"

    ReplyDelete
  47. It's Korver's birthday, and they just told me. Game double over.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I like how we're giving Sexy credit for that, when Taj or Asik would have been able to dunk it easily without pump-faking.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I think that was a lane violation on Noah. They never call that in the NBA

    ReplyDelete
  50. Honestly, until 3 weeks ago. I would never have been this confident in this team. The improvement has come from their defense, but the confidence is showing individually on offense. I say they'll keep the 1 seed and get to the Finals. I still think they fear the West a bit, but we'll get there when we get there.

    ReplyDelete
  51. All the single ladies have left the building.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hope I didn't blow all my basketball karma on the Bulls and BYU. I need Michigan State to stay alive to upset Florida on Saturday.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Right now the latest Hollinger playoff odds have the Bulls with the best chance of winning the finals, slightly over the Lakers. Crazy. Also, I love that the Bulls game is over, but there's tons of sports left to watch tonight. I love the NCAA tourney.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Hmm, Seabrook, first you take a stupid shot that leads to a Dallas goal, then you run over the goaltender to boot? Really earning that extension right there.

    ReplyDelete
  55. OK, maybe I DON'T want to watch the Blackhawks game right now...switching back to Michigan State.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Hope Michigan State remembers how to score here at some point.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Not looking promising so far. Ugh.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Going to call it a night, but end with this thought: I hate everything about Gonzaga.
