Chi-Town Sports Football Picks Challenge

Here be the rules:

Make your Super Bowl pick in the comments below. 5 points for getting the winner right, 3 points for getting the loser right (even if you picked them to win, so if I pick Saints over Ravens, and the Saints lose to the Colts, I get 3 points.) 2 point bonus if you get both teams correct. In addition, pick each game of each weekend (no spread, just straight up winner). You get one point for each game you get correct. You don't have to be an oracle for this one, you can wait until after you know the matchups to make a pick. For example, here's mine:

Super Bowl Pick: Patriots over Falcons (sorry to pick the chalk, picking any other team just didn't sit right.)

This weekend:
Colts over Jets (If Cutler can pick apart the Jets for 38, Manning should be good for 70, easy.)
Saints over Seahawks (Even if we were doing the spread, I would still take the Saints -10.5)
Chiefs over Ravens (Ravens are overrated.)
Eagles over Packers (I think Vick will put the Eagles on his back in this one.)

Make your picks before the first game starts at 3:30 tomorrow to be eligible.

    Saints over Seahawks (Defending champs vs under .500?)
    Ravens over Chiefs (Anyone have playoff experience on the Chiefs?)
    Packers over Eagles (I think Vick will be put on his back)

    Weekend
    Colts over Jets - Let's quite pretending this is the same caliber jets D we saw last year, it isn't, but neither is the Colts O, that said, I think the Colts squeeze this one out on a late FG

    Seahawks OVER Saints - I know, I know, I'm a fucking moron for picking this, and I have no empirical evidence WHAT SO EVER, but something deep down in my balls says the Seahawks will somehow win this game, they're really tough at home, probably sick of people shitting on them (although they deserve it) and will play this one with reckless abandon, Lynch will have a ball game, and remember, the Saints lost their top 2 runners. Saints haven't seemed quite as hungry this season.

    Ravens over Chiefs - I think the Ravens are over rated, but Ray Lewis, Ed Reed and most importantly Haloti Ngata just don't lose games like this, too much playoff experience on one side and too little on the other, I do like the Chiefs as a team in the future though.

    Eagles over Packers - Packers are the worst rushing football team of all time Kanye West, OF ALL TIME!! The Packer D is stout, but a lot of that is predicated on blitzing and blitzing Vick is a dangerous proposition unless you stay in your gaps. Eagles roll.

    For the weekend, I'm picking Colts over Jets, Saints over Seahawks, Eagles over Packers, and because I have seen the power duo of Thomas Jones and Jamaal Charles running game in action, the Chiefs over the Ravens.

    For the Superbowl, as much as I believe the Patriots might be the ultimate victor, for the sake of this contest I'm picking a 2005 call back and saying it will be a Colts over Bears victory. Truth be told I think Tristan's Superbowl matchup and win is most likely the right guess, but I'm gonna take the path thus far untaken. Also, should it be a Bears-Colts matchup, I will be rooting to be completely wrong.

    And now I need to root for the Packers tomorrow so the Bears can play the Seahawks. Great.
